Blocking the lane, swore at me because he said I 'touched his car' with my handlebar grip as I tried to squeeze past. Said he wasn't impeding the bike lane (as two other cyclists coming the other way) had to stop to let me get through. Car sign said 'Corporate Courier'.
My journey up Richards to Dunsmuir took me past 5 other cars/trucks parked in the bike lane, but this one took the prize!

2 City of Vancouver vehicles
Carrall St, Vancouver, BC
I'm all for the city cleaning up needles and garbage in this rougher part of town. But being so obnoxious as to park 2 of their vehicles back to back? This is easily avoidable by parking in one of the many available parking spots along the street.
Note the pedestrian having to walk on the road way to get around the illegally parked vehicles.

Two more semis parked in the bike lane on the same Still Creek Ave stretch of the CVG as my Nov 11th post. Actually there was a third that drove away as I was preparing to take this shot. The low light conditions were too much for my cell phone camera, and I dont recall the license of the nearest violator. It was an Ontario plate though.

Trucks and semis are often parked in the bike lane on this stretch of the Central Valley Greenway which passes through a light industrial area. Sharrows would possibly be a better option here.

To avoid the driveways for the parking lot, and also since the speed limit here is 30 km/hr, I don't even use this bike lane anyway...

where then?
Happylin Cafe/AandL Market West Broadway, Vancouver, BC
Where would you like taxi's to pick up when a customer calls from an address that happens to be on a bike lane path at the time of day when you cannot park there? These people are trying to make a living and trying to make customers happy. Unfortunately many Vancouverites will jump in the first cab they see with total disregard for the cab they actually called so a driver must do his best to get his fare and that includes parking at the door or entrance to the address given. Can't you just carefully cycle around a person trying to do their job?

Each direction of this road has two main lanes, a bike lane, and a parking lane. But, in this spot, one of the lines of the bike lane has become rather worn and is hard to see, and I think that leads to this happening.
I've left the license plate out since it is maybe understandable that the owner of the car forgot that this spot is indeed part of the bike lane since the line had worn off there.
